Job description:

This unusual project comprised of building a hill on a flat air field to enable the driver training school to simulate hill starts and steep descents without leaving the confines of the airfield. The hill, 200m Long x 13m High created its own stabilisation problems which were overcome using chalk-fill and the Tensar reinforcing system. The hill is designed to take HGV's and has a complete road with kerbs, tarmac and white lining, together with barriers and traffic lights.
