Houseman &
Falshaw were delighted that one of their recent projects was
awarded a Winners Certificate at the Ripon Civic Society awards
held at the Ripon Spa Hotel on the 1st October.
Winning the
Best Environmental Improvement Class, the 'Marshall Way, Ripon'
scheme was recognised as providing 'A key improvement to the
city centre road infrastructure, designed with special attention
to detail and the use of traditional materials in the boundary
walls.'
The £700,000
project was the second phase and comprised the construction a
new relief road within the historic town. The 29 week programme
duration was cut significantly through performance on site and
the scheme was completed some 8 weeks early.
David Winpenny, Chairman of Ripon Civic
Society, says, ‘Our annual Awards Ceremony is one of the
highlights of the year, and it gives special recognition to
companies, groups and individuals who have contributed to the
fabric and well-being of the city in a positive and sensitive
way."
